Pursuing an academic career often pushes us abroad to find a postdoc or gain research experience.
But how do you engage in scicomm in another country? Do you find new opportunities or rely on your old network? And should you adapt to another culture?
In this interactive lunch talk, Robin Bonné will share his experience starting up as a freelancer in science communication in Denmark. You will hear his failures and successes and find out the challenges and extra opportunities of working in outreach abroad!

Robin Bonné

Robin is an enthusiastic biophysicist and science communicator from Belgium, currently living in Aarhus, Denmark. During his academic career, he has been active in science communication through several outreach talks, popular articles, and television interviews, which led him to start his own company.
With Robin Talks Science, Robin aims to help researchers with their outreach activities by finding the narrative in their research. In his workshops, he teaches presentation skills using techniques from the theatre floor, with a special focus on storytelling and body language.
